Recently, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has, in fact, directed online messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram to make sure that continuous SIM-binding for all users in the country as a way to control rising digital fraud, which has become a major cause of concern.
With Truecaller Voicemail, users have the liberty to record, store, and even play messages directly on their device, without the need to dial voicemail numbers or remember PINs. The feature supports 12 different Indian languages, including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Nepali, Punjabi, Sanskrit, and Urdu. So its reach is not getting confined, rather it is becoming broader and better since a large chunk of the population will come under its purview.
Further, it is believed that the DoT is also expected to mandate Caller Name Presentation (CNAP), which requires telecom operators to show the KYC-registered name of all incoming callers using Indian phone numbers. Although CNAP is likely to be enabled by default for all users, users will have the liberty to disable seeing the KYC-verified names of people from whom they receive calls.

They will have to upgrade and offer new features to strengthen their service and provide more facilities to their customers or users. Truecaller is not an exception; therefore, it is also adding more power-packed features to attract its customers, which is a good move by all stretch of imagination.
