Science & technology has been a great asset for mankind. It has changed the way we used to lead our life earlier. We have been successful in inventing so many gadgets by means of science and technology and the same has made life easier and more convenient. Take for instance, the case of smart phones. It has made communication far more easier and expense wise also it is affordable. Same goes true for T.V. We get to view things live. All the major events get covered by T.V. Are these not products of science and technology?

The contribution of science and technology is huge in the context of our life.

Although we have seen so far that science and technology has made a wholesale change to our lifestyle and has created a favourable environment for growth in every sector, but despite all it's contribution it suffers from certain weaknesses. It has few disadvantages too. Everything comes with it's plus and minuses and science and technology is no exception. Science and technology has provided us with all the materialistic comforts however, the happiness quotient is receding from our life. We no longer draw pleasure from small things. Our society has been experiencing growing number of psychological cases. Our social skills have taken a backseat. We are becoming more lonely and dependent on technical gadgets. Over reliance on technical gadgets does not indicate a healthy trend. It has rendered our jobs light, but our hearts heavy. We are becoming lazy and in the process our mind is becoming redundant because for making a small calculation, we reach out to our calculator. We have becoming ease loving. Nuclear bombs and sophisticated weapons have created a havoc in the world , all thanks to science and technology for producing such lethal weapons of mass destruction.

Now since we have studied the pros and cons of science and technology, we have realized science and technology has contributed both positively and negatively.Shall we treat it as a boon or bane ?
