Social Media can lead to cybercrimes like money scams, sexual exploitation & Cyberbullying. It can affect the kids and can make them victims of pornography etc. It is used by criminals for online fraud, so it affects people negatively. People who are naive or not aware of such tricks & ploys are likely to be made soft targets. Unknowingly, they get hoodwinked & thereby lands into a big trouble. Sometimes even people who are aware of such crimes become targets & victims of such online crimes.

What is most worrying about social media is that one is likely to get hooked on to it. It makes people addicted to it. The productivity of an individual in relation to his work-life drops down massively, if one gets used to social media. Almost every category of people tend to misuse their valuable time to some degree barring those who can be regarded as smart users of social media.

Students waste their time using social media which in turn impacts their studies. Overuse or anything used in excess or beyond the permitted limit without checking the safety measures will put us in trouble.
