Who is the founder of Microsoft?
An American called Bill Gates co-founded the Microsoft Corporation with Paul Allen in 1975. Microsoft is regarded as one of the earliest tech companies to have been launched. Indian-born Satya Nadella is heading it at present.
William Henry Gates, popular known as Bill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington on October 28, 1955. His mother was a member of the board of directors for First Interstate BancSystem and the United way while his father was a lawyer. He started showing his mettle early on. At the age of just 13, he wrote a software program based on a General Electric computer. This program was one such program where a human could play against a machine or it can be termed as a basic version of tic-tac-toe.

It is said, that he had read the "World Book Encyclopedia" during his teenage years. It is interesting to know, that he was a dropout from Harvard University. He left the University in the year 1975 to join Paul G.Allen in order to work on softwares for microcomputers.

Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in the year 1976 established the American tech firm Apple.
Steve Paul Jobs, born in San Fransisco, US in the year 1955 was given up by his biological parents. He was adopted by Paul Jobs and Clara. His father was a mechanic and he used to often rebuilt cars on weekends.
After completion of high school, he took admission to Reed in College in Portland, Oregon. However, subsequently, he took a call to leave the college. He started off his first job in an Apple orchard. It was in the year 1974, he started working as a video game designer with Atari.
In the year 1976, Steve Wozniak designed a computer logic board however, it was rejected by the Hewlett - Packard company. This prompted both Wozniak and Jobs to come together for business interests. The First Apple computer was known as Apple 1. There is an interesting story behind this. This computer was built from the money obtained by selling Steve Job's Volkswagen minibus & Wozniak's programmable calculator.
They wanted to better Apple 1 and then they designed Apple 2 which was an improved version. It was sleek and came with a complete keyboard in 1977. In fact, the very same year Apple computer was incorporated. A lot of readers will perhaps find it interesting to know, that Apple Computer made a record public stock offering and went on to become the fastest company to enter the Fortune 500 list in 1983. So it won't be unfair to say, Apple became a major business entity after this development.
After having friction with the Apple board, Steve Jobs decided to walk out of the company in 1985. After that, he launched another firm called NeXT. It was a workstation computer meant for the education market. He also acquired computer graphics from Pixar in 1986.
He made reentry to Apple in 1996. In 2001 Apple iPod was launched and Apple iPhone was launched in 2007.
Unfortunately, Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003 & underwent surgery in 2004. He resigned as Apple CEO in August 2011 and at the age of just 56, Steve Jobs bid adieu to this world as on 5th October 2011.
