May be five or six years back we were lagging behind technologically or were busy upgrading and introducing modern technologies for transmitting messages so at that point in time, SMS texts were the most viable means available to pass on messages. They will have to find out ways to compensate for this loss. It is said that messaging via Chat Apps will be more than double to 41 bn this year in comparison to 21bn last year. Why Do We Prefer Apps?

 

Most apps are free and easy to download. It's cheaper than SMS texts. The best part is, message sent in Apps are not charged on message basis, but by overall data cost. It is noteworthy, first up it was Blackberry that popularized messaging app. It is estimated roughly that We Chat has 400m users followed by Line having 100m users. KakaoTalk has 80m users, which was launched in just 2010. These figures demonstrate the popularity of  Chat Apps in Asia.

Chat apps provide you the cushion of using emoticons or stickers. You can express your emotions by referring to such stuffs . Infact App makers generate income by selling these emoticons or stickers. Therefore, you see plenty of new innovations taking place regularly.

You must have observed many of these internet based apps provides you the facility of initiating video calls , voice calls & game play.
