We are living in a world that is quite advanced due to Science & Technology. There are certain people who leave an ever-lasting impression by virtue of their contributions to mankind. One such person was Nikola Tesla. He is regarded as one of the most outstanding scientists produced by the world.
The Man Who Made Lot of Invention in the 20th Century
He was born on 10th July 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia. He can be best described as an inventor, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, and a person who always used to look at the future with great hope. From his childhood days, he was fascinated by Science. He used to think a lot about Science. His mother used to make small devices at home and this inspired Tesla immensely. It is said that he was capable of performing integral calculus in his head which made his professors suspicious and they felt that perhaps Tesla used to cheat. He was brilliant academically & he could solve mathematical problems with ease.

He was highly interested in experimentation and he always he had a strong inclination & desire to come up with new inventions however, the financial constraint was a stumbling block for him.
Nikola Tesla's Visions of Our World
Nikola Tesla in his book " My Inventions " stated that he has experienced time travel. In 1882, he got a job in Edison's Company. During his stint with the company, a stage came when there was a war of the currents between Edison & Tesla. After leaving Edison's company, Tesla launched his own company. He introduced the AC system which was a remarkable invention in the field of electricity. Even today, we receive electricity at our home due to the AC system.

Tesla had knowledge of as many as 8 different languages and he used to think much ahead of his time. In the year 1891, he manufactured Tesla coils. It is a type of electric circuit by which high-voltage electricity could be produced using less current. Modern-day gadgets like Radio, Television, etc use Tesla coils. He is credited with inventing hydroelectric power plants. He even made an Earthquake oscillator which shook the entire area where he experimented with it. He could sense that such a machine can harm mankind so he destroyed it. In 1898, he made a toy-shaped boat and navigated it using a remote. The same technology is used today in robots, Guided missiles & Remote.

In 1901, he invented something which had the potential to change the entire world. This was known as Wireless Electricity by means of which Tesla wanted to distribute free electricity. Although initially, he got financial support from one of the investors known as J.P. Morgan, later on, Morgan didn't extend any further support and eventually, Tesla had to back off. It is believed firmly that Tesla had great imagination power and the same helped him in making such inventions possible. In 1934, he started working on a different project called "Death Beam ".
The idea was to make a weapon that could destroy 10,000 enemy aircraft at one go from a distance of 250 miles. Once again he could not pull it off due to financial constraints and lack of funding. He got a cheque of 25,000 dollars from Soviet Union Government however, this amount was not sufficient enough to carry on & complete this project. He also started working on manufacturing a thought camera. This camera would have converted thoughts into a photo. By decoding the thought of a person, Tesla wanted to make an image of it by means of this camera. Unfortunately, he could not complete this mission as well.

Let's be very clear, Nikola Tesla's contribution was no less than the contribution of Einstein & Edison. He was not a money-oriented person rather his focus was to invent things for the betterment of mankind. Nikola Tesla remained a bachelor till his death, as he devoted his entire time & effort to the development of Science & Technology. He passed away on 7th January 1943 at the age of 86 years.
Conclusion
We may never see another Nikola Tesla. He was unique in a lot of ways. He had superhuman mental abilities which enabled him to imagine & elaborate in his mind highly complex electrical machines. He had certain qualities which can still baffle us. Few of his projects never saw the light of day, but that does not take away any credit from him. He could not patent a few of his inventions as well. The world has immensely benefitted from his dreams. Such scientists are of a rare breed. Mankind will remember him as one of the best when it comes to Science & Technology. Hats off to this great man or rather we shall address him as a superhuman scientist.
