Shukla will spend 14 days at the International Space Station (ISS), and he is supposed to conduct 60 experiments. Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian to venture into space, and Shubhanshu Shukla became the second Indian to follow in his footsteps. He has become the second astronaut from India to visit space. Rakesh Sharma's pioneering mission took place exactly 41 years ago. So India has sent its next astronauts to space after 41 years
